One might describe our introduction to Tom as serendipitous. After three years and over $100K equity accumulated, we needed to refinance our home. Though our payment history and credit scores were commendable, we were denied by another lender without hesitation. We were devastated and beginning to resign ourselves to the possibility of losing our home, when my husband randomly got a call from Ben, Tom’s intern. Tom’s phone etiquette was amazing and convincing enough for us to think there was still hope. Though he didn’t make any promises and was upfront about the challenges ahead, Tom was ready and willing to go to bat for us. He held our hand every step of the way and the result was more than we ever expected. He treated us as people, rather than dismissing us as a numerical cause not worthy of his time. I’m eternally grateful for what Tom was able and continues to do for our family.
